Happy New Year from our Wairarapa/HawkesBay consultant Bridget

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has had a smooth start to 2017.

I am going to use this week’s blog as a reminder of the importance of staff training.

Having well developed staff training files are valuable and provide an efficient way of storing all of your staff members training information such as drivers licenses and copies of any relevant certificates or trainings including First Aid or Quad Bike training.

I suggest utilizing Skills Assessments as a way of assessing your staff members competency and then training can be provided as needed.

Select a refresher topic for each regular Health and Safety meeting and discuss this with staff and record it in their training file. Refresher topics can be anything from The safe way to attach PTO implements to tractors, to Chemical handling.
