Bridget Hartnell- Wairarapa/ Hawkes Bay
Health & Safety Consultant - East Coast/Wairarapa
I am from a strong farming background having grown up on a Sheep, Beef and Cropping farm in the South Wairarapa. I still have a heavy involvement with the family farm helping to run the Sheep and Beef aspect of it, as well as assisting with the Office Management. I have recently completed a three year Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree at Massey University. During my time at University, I have worked on a local Dairy Farm as well as for Seminis Vegetable Seeds. This varied experience is beneficial when dealing with a wide range of farming clients. As well as an agricultural involvement, I am kept busy most weekends with horse riding. I compete in rodeo travelling right around the country and have previously travelled overseas competing. Like the rest of the team, having an agricultural background and current involvement, we know how busy farmers get. At OnFarmSafety our key is practicality and keeping our systems as simple as possible by individualising Health and Safety to fit in with you and what you do as a farmer every day.

Fran Awburn- Waikato
Health and Safety Consultant - Waikato
I am from a rural background with my family farming at Raetihi. My husband John and I farmed there before moving north to the Waikato in the 1980's, where we live today on a small dairy grazing block at Puahue. Our 4 adult children are all on the land involved with Drystock, Dairying, Dairy grazing and Horses.
Farming is definitely in the blood. I have previously worked within the banking industry for 22 years with 17 of those years as a personal branch manager. I now have the opportunity to work within our farming community alongside farmers helping with providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and how we can maintain safe work practices under the new legislation coming in.
I have undertaken most seasonal farming tasks over the years and I appreciate and understand the special nature of farming and the fact that our place of work is also our home.
I believe that strengthening our responsibilities around Health and Safety on farm must be taken seriously and practicability applied in order to minimise the risks.
Its a privilege to be working with the team of dedicated like minded people at OnFarmSafety New Zealand.

Gregg Peters- Southland and Otago
Health and Safety Consultant - Southland, Otago and Canterbury
I'm a born and bred Southlander, with a passion for motorbikes, duckshooting and classic cars. I've spent the last 13 years looking after the Health and Safety requirements for a large Invercargill based company who have the franchises for New Holland, Case III, Kubota, Ford and Mazda.
Working in a company that services the rural industry has given me a good appreciation for the types of equipment used on farms and the dangers associated with them. Tractors and machinery are getting larger and more powerful and the potential risk increases along with them.
I pride myself on offering a friendly and thorough service and aim to make complying with your Health and Safety obligations as easy as possible.

Leah Noakes- Northland
Health and Safety Consultant- Northland
I have a strong farming background having grown up on a 580-cow family farm south-west of Whangarei. Growing-up living and working on a dairy farm was what I loved. This lead me, after leaving school to complete a Diploma in Agriculture at Massey University. Following this I moved to the Waikato to go Dairy Farming in both the Cambridge and Morrinsville areas.
I have a young son who thrives on farm life. We now live on small block near Whangarei. My aim is to give my son the same rural upbringing I loved. I have worked on various farms in our area with my main interest being in dairy, add in a stint of horticulture topped off with a couple of years at a large mixed-animal vet practice in Whangarei which then brings me to OnFarmSafetyNZ. I am excited to be a part of the team and looking forward to meeting you and helping you tailor a health and safety plan for your business. “Your farm – Your plan”

Sandra Crone- Nelson/Marlborough
Health and Safety Consultant - Marlborough/Nelson, Tech NZISM
I’m from a rural background growing up in Canada where our family grazed beef cattle on a small holding. My husband and I managed our own aquaculture company
for several years, breeding and exporting fish and consulting to farmers on sustainable dam management practices and optimal fish production until
we moved back to New Zealand in early 2000.
Since then I have been involved in training and development for small-medium sized businesses and managing the Health and Safety system for an environmental contracting company.
I hold an international certificate in Health and Safety (NEBOSH) and plan to continue my own learning and development in this field.
I look forward to working with a diverse range of sectors i.e. agriculture, viticulture, aquaculture and apiary businesses (to name just a few) that reside in the top of the south region by helping them to provide a safe and healthy working environment for themselves, staff and visitors to their farms.
